„We are the slaves of the guns“

„… Serfs to the dominant things; / Our are the eyes and the ears / And the brains of their messagings.“

So schreibt Gilbert Frankau 1915 in „The Voice of the Slaves“. Es ist eines der über 30 Gedichte, das ich gemeinsam mit Xaver Römer, Julia Trompeter, Iwona Mickiewicz und Carolin Bohn nächste Woche in London, Cambridge und Oxford in Szene setzen werde.
